My girl

I had work this morning and it went surprisingly quick! I was in no rush to go home because David was away checking out the mine site he will be working at next year. It's calling coming together... We don't know exactly when his fly in - fly out job will start or when we will be leaving as yet, but I am counting the days.

When we both got home we spent some time outside with the cats :) We've pretty much cat-proofed the yard so Mischa (pictured) can't escape. Until she works out she can scale the fence if she tries hard enough. I seriously have to show you guys the places she gets to in the house; on top of the shower door which is like 2 cm thick. She belongs in a circus :D

This photo cracks us up. It was taken while she stalked the people over the fence; she was just sitting there watching them, craning her neck when they moved out of sight and everything. If she was a human she would get locked up, the way she stares at them :D She sorta looks like a koala. Ah, she's a cutie.

Do you have any cute pics of your furbabies? Lemme see!

18 months old already!

How time flies... I just love how this photo turned out! I can't wait to get my hands on a better camera ( $300 saved so far!) and spend hours shooting their movements. For those who don't already know, this is our gorgeous girl Tibby. She's definitely the more gentle, sweet & sensitive kitty...she's next to me cuddling and purring as I type this :) She misses David as much, if not more than, I do when he goes away so we keep each other company. As much as I love the extra attention, I can't wait until he's back.. 2 more sleeps!

Surely Shirley

I just love this photo of Tibby and David, taken Saturday afternoon. Even though Tibs closed her eyes :p David reminds me of Shirley Temple here... (haha) just the way people posed in those days for portraits; looking slightly left or right of the camera lense. Anyway, I had to share. I think he looks so so cute.

I have hair and risotto photos/recipes to share - they are just going to take a bit of processing, so this pretty pic had to do for today. Oh and a little spiel about the ball when I get hold of everyone's photos (including a hired photographer! woo!) so stay tuned :D

Hope you all had a swell weekend. Swell. Yes, I use this word in real life. Ha.

Creative rut.

Have you ever felt like you have so many ideas you have no idea where to start? I have no idea how to go about it but I really want to document 2010 properly after losing a huge chunk of my 2009 photos. I just wish I could sign up for an online journalling class like I see so many people doing... Unfortunately I live a day's drive away from the nearest store that would sell supplies. I'm thinking about doing it digitally instead, I really love the look of EVERYTHING at Sweet Shoppe Designs.

In other news, I'm 6 days strong on my project365 and pretty proud of myself :) Here was the chance shot I took in the backyard this afternoon. We're thinking of getting an SLR camera before our travels... There is so many out there it is doing my head in trying to work out what I want! Help would be much appreciated. What does everyone else use?

Project 365.

So I've had a flickr account for a while and only used it to comment others photos. Do you ever find that you sign up for these sort of things and never get round to do anything with them? Well I decided to put mine to good use and sign up for Project 365.

It was a lovely day for some family snaps.
Can you see the difference in our babies' sleeping positions? hehe!

I am simply going to document my daily life, I really can't be bothered going out and trying to find beautiful scenery or amazing still life opportunities. That said, there are a lot of members who have already taken some brilliant photographs, so the link is there for you lovelies... If any of you have a flickr you're keen to share, do leave a link for me. I love checking out people's photos :)
